2011 – The Beginning in Zurich 

SELISE was founded in Zurich and in Dhaka in early 2011, evolving from Julian Weber’s freelance work. Kurt Weber, following his exit from Paninfo, supported the company as chairman and investor. Their vision was to build a borderless technology business that would become instrumental to businesses. With cloud computing on the rise, SELISE emphasized API-driven web development and took on jobs across industries. 

2015 – Building a Global Delivery Model 

SELISE scaled up and built out its first offshore development hub in Dhaka to 150 employees. Instead of a typical outsourcing unit, the Dhaka hub became a center of excellence with strong architecture and consulting practices.

2019 – Industry Specialization and Productization 

SELISE began evolving from service delivery into product and standards driven development. With reusable components, guidelines and scalable HR practices SELISE was now capable to deliberately expand its delivery practices in other untapped markets. It expanded its delivery centers to Thimphu, Bhutan and its market facing offices to Dubai, UAE.

2022 – Embracing Platform Thinking and Governance Solutions

The global push for digital transformation post-COVID led SELISE to double down on modular platforms and digital governance capabilities. 

2024 – Maturity, SaaS, Open Source and Trusted Partnerships

SELISE reached a new level of operational maturity and market confidence, successfully scaling its SaaS offerings and open source contributions and expanding into new markets such as Prizren, Kosovo, Chernivtsi, Ukraine, and Berlin, Germany. 

2025 – A Global Strategy Rooted in Local Talent 

SELISE continues to grow as a globally integrated technology service provider with a strong local foundation in its delivery and revenue markets.
