SELISE Group, in a joint venture with Maxwell Stamp Limited Bangladesh and CardPlus System GmbH, has signed the Integrated Border Management System (IBMS) assignment with the Bangladesh Land Port Authority (BLPA). The project is supported by the World Bank under its regional flagship program, Accelerating Transport and Trade Connectivity in Eastern South Asia (ACCESS).
The IBMS initiative will begin with three of Bangladesh’s key land ports: Benapole Land Port, Bhomra Land Port, and Burimari Land Port. The system is designed to reduce paper-based processes, connect critical port community workflows, and provide BLPA with improved operational visibility over daily cross-border movements.
By digitizing and integrating core border management processes, IBMS aims to support smoother coordination among port stakeholders while strengthening transparency, efficiency, and decision-making across land port operations.
The project will follow a practical delivery approach. This includes confirming operational processes on the ground, aligning data handoffs among agencies, developing the integrated digital platform, and providing structured training and change management support in close collaboration with BLPA and partner agencies.
SELISE Group and its partners expressed their appreciation to the Bangladesh Land Port Authority and the World Bank for the trust placed in the joint venture.
The consortium looks forward to working closely with all stakeholders to deliver the system carefully, collaboratively, and in line with the operational realities of Bangladesh’s land ports.
