SELISE Group Participates in EU–Bhutan Business Forum in Brussels and Frankfurt

SELISE Group recently participated in the EU–Bhutan Business Forum, held in Brussels and Frankfurt, which brought together policymakers, business leaders, and industry practitioners from Europe and Bhutan. The forum focused on how EU–Bhutan cooperation can translate into long-term, sustainable investment, with strong emphasis on stability, governance, and sustainability as key enablers for doing business in Bhutan.

The forum provided valuable insights into Bhutan’s economic direction and development priorities. SELISE had the honour of gaining perspectives from H.E. Dasho Tshering Tobgay, Prime Minister of Bhutan, and Ms. Nicola Beer, Vice President of the European Investment Bank, who shared views on Bhutan’s growth trajectory, investment outlook, and long-term development vision.

SELISE Group was represented by Jamyang Tashi, Head of Revenue for Telecom & Technology, who shared SELISE’s experience in building an IT hub in Bhutan and delivering global digital platforms from the region. His contribution focused on how technology, skills development, and trusted delivery models can enable Bhutan to serve international markets while remaining aligned with its values and development philosophy.

Keynote remarks from Bhutan’s leadership, alongside contributions from public- and private-sector speakers, highlighted the country’s distinctive development approach, balancing economic growth with environmental stewardship, social well-being, and long-term resilience. Discussions also explored emerging initiatives and policy frameworks aimed at creating a transparent, predictable, and globally aligned investment environment.

Reflecting on the forum, SELISE reaffirmed its commitment to contributing to Bhutan’s digital and economic ecosystem by supporting capability building, scalable technology platforms, and sustainable delivery models.

SELISE Group extends its thanks to the organisers and participants for facilitating a valuable and engaging exchange. The company looks forward to continuing these conversations and translating shared intent into practical collaboration beyond the forum.
