SELISE participated in the SCORE! Conference 2025, with hundreds of Swiss tech leaders, innovators, and industry experts, to explore the latest trends in digital transformation. The event was held at StageOne in Zürich-Oerlikon on May 14, 2025, with a focus on digital commerce strategies and future trends.
Representing SELISE, Patrick Glauser, VP of Retail, and Noah Berchtold, Business Analyst, actively engaged with industry leaders and exchanged insights on how technology is revolutionizing audience interactions in the retail sector. The event provided a great opportunity for SELISE to connect with our key clients and partners, including Swiss-Ski, Diselva, and ValueOn, and engaging in a meaningful discussion with them and many others.
The conference featured impactful keynote sessions by industry luminaries such as Daniel Stucker, Deputy Chairman of and Head of Trading at Coop Group, Tina Müller, CEO of Weleda, and Sandra Banholzer, CEO of Rausch. These leaders shared their perspectives on retail strategies, leadership in the digital age, and the rapid growth of Swiss brands.
Prominent themes at SCORE! 2025 included AI-driven commerce, omnichannel strategies, and the rise of social commerce. Discussions emphasised the importance of delivering a seamless customer experience across all touchpoints — online, mobile, in-store, and marketplaces. Brands that successfully unify these channels can offer intelligent product recommendations, automate customer journeys, and enhance customer engagement.
An emerging trend highlighted was the growing influence of social commerce platforms like TikTok Shop, which are opening new avenues for customer engagement and sales. Early adopters of these platforms have the potential to secure a competitive edge in an evolving digital landscape.
One of the most transformative undercurrents of the conference was the growing impact of Generative AI (GenAI) and Large Language Models (LLMs) on digital commerce. Consumers are increasingly turning to AI-assisted conversational search rather than relying on traditional SEO-based browsing. Instead of reading through dozens of reviews, they now outsource product research to AI tools, asking direct questions like “Which is better for hiking – X or Y?”
These behavioural shifts are reshaping the structure of digital commerce. To stay competitive, businesses must embrace AI-native experiences—including chat-based product finders, LLM-powered Q&A interfaces, semantic markup for AI interpretability, and deep personalisation across products and services powered by AI.
From over 140 applications across various categories, 16 winners were honoured with Digital Commerce Awards, 2025. Congratulations to the team Ricardo, the iconic Swiss online marketplace, for securing the prestigious Digital Commerce Champion 2025 title, along with wins in the AI Integration and Sustainable Business Model categories.
