SELISE hosted a milestone event in Dhaka, on 3rd August 2025, with 130+ participants from Bangladesh and global offices joining on-site and virtually. The highlight was a live demo of SELISE Blocks, where the team built a complete application in minutes.
Keynote
Our VP of Engineering, Rezwan Rafiq, started the discussion with an overview of blocks, after which a more detailed discussion on some of the core topics began.
Intro to SELISE Blocks
SELISE Blocks is a modular framework with plug-and-play microservices, an AI Gateway for intelligent apps, and built-in Deploy & Observe functionality. With Construct, teams get a ready-made blueprint to build scalable, secure applications in record time.
Microservices
- SELISE develops cloud-native, customizable solutions with a flexible, API-first approach.
- Blocks Microservices are stored in standardised GitHub repositories for seamless access and collaboration.
Data Gateway
- Provides a single data access layer for streamlined application integration.
- Enables users to define custom schemas tailored to their data needs.

AI
- Adapts to customer support and internal knowledge needs with a flexible conversational interface.
- Ingests content from markdown, PDFs, links, or Q&A to deliver accurate, context-aware responses.

Cloud and Construct
- Cloud powers Construct as its backend, managing data, processing, and deployment.
- Construct provides the user-facing layer for application building and management.
Live Demo
The live demo showcased Blocks Construct, the starter kit for setting up microservices and related components through the cloud platform at clouds.seliseblocks.com. The notable highlights/features covered included:
- Creating and installing a project using SELISE Blocks Cloud.
- Integrating features like user management, SSO, MFA, and CAPTCHA in a few simple steps.
- Deploying the created project to a specified URL with just a few clicks.
- Other core features such as the Language Manager, UILM Browser Extension (SELISE Blocks Assistant), Email Service, Data Gateway, etc.
- Monitoring service actions with detailed logs and traces.
- A POC version of the upcoming MCP Server.
Deep Dive Sessions
The Deep Dive Sessions were designed to help SELISE developers gain a deeper understanding of the technologies that power Blocks. These sessions not only showcased core innovations like Genesis and AI frameworks such as RAG but also served as an open invitation for developers to explore, contribute their expertise, and collaborate in shaping the future of the Blocks ecosystem.
LMT and Microsoft Clarity
Meraj Siddiqui, Staff Software Engineer from Blocks, dived into LMT and Microsoft Clarity.
- The discussion began with the framework of Observability and its role in Blocks Cloud.
- Showcased how Microsoft Clarity complements LMT for enhanced tracking and insights.
Introduction to core services
Kazi Lakitur Rahman, Engineering Manager from Blocks took a session on Core Services.
He laid down the foundation of the Core Services of Blocks in his discussion, which includes Authentication (SSO), MFA, IAM, Captcha, Language Manager, Data Gateway, Email, Storage and Notification.
Genesis and AI (RAG)
Mostafizur Rahman, Senior Engineering Manager, explained how Genesis leverages AI through the RAG framework.
This also combines embedding models, vector databases, and LLMs to deliver context-aware, accurate responses.
DevOps
Ashik Mostofa Tonmoy, Senior DevOps Engineer, shared insights on automation, scalability, and cloud security.
He also highlighted continuous improvement as a core part of Blocks’ DevOps excellence.
Construct
Afia Anjum Preety, Software Engineer from Blocks, talked about Construct.
She discussed further on how Blocks Construct offers a ready-to-use React template, integrated with SELISE Blocks services and optimized for AI tools, speeding up development and enhancing efficiency.
